Ultem® 1000 polyetherimide is a high temperature resistant polymer from General Electric. These extruded products offer excellent machinability, thereby offering an alternative to higher costs materials such as PES, PEEK, and Polysulfone in applications requiring continuous temperatures up to 340°F. Exceptional flame resistance with the limiting oyxgen index and low NBS smoke evolution make Ultem® 1000 polyetherimide ideal for interior components in aircrafts, buses, and other vehicles where such properties are required.
